It’s true that we live in an era that place a lot on emphasis on our particularities, and the world urges us to embrace our roots and our essence, but it is worth remembering that it was not always so. Today, when we talk about curls, it is a new subject to some, as if they simply did not exist before, when in fact, they were just being ignored by the world and being cared for in secret by their holders.
So, we did the opposite, looking for information directly at the source, from curly girls who have all kinds of hair variations, in order to discover all their secrets so we can bring you the ideal type of care for each hair type. Join us in our learning and find your own hair type.
To get a good result with this technique is necessary that you identify what your hair type is. But it is important to say that someone can have several different types of hair. You can have type 4 hair, but even so, still have some type B strands. The curls are divided into three categories, being the type 2; wavy, type 3; curly and finally type 4; coily. All of them are divided into subgroups called A, B and C.
WAVY
2A – These strands have a smoother characteristic, have fewer waves and have less volume, so its fit will pass far from the finger coils technique.
2B – This hair has slightly more defined waves, but the roots are still smooth. A good serum will be a great ally for this type of curls.
2C – The waves are formed from the root and have a greater volume, and need greater conditioning than the previous types, but a powerful leave-in can provide this. However remember, we still cannot exaggerate the quantity deposited on the hair, as that will be providing a lot of weight and a completely negative aspect to the locks.
Finally, for the wavy ones, the rake and shake technique (stretch and balance) is ideal, because despite styling, it leaves the hair with a little frizz to give a natural and free look to the strands. 1st Step: You must separate the hair into small sections and apply your leave in generously into each one. 2nd Step: hold the lock, swing and release. Repeat this process with all the sections.
CURLY
3A – The threads are thin and loose, but they are not as dry, so a good mask with good conditioning power will leave the threads very malleable for finishing with a serum or leave-in.
3B – The waves are more tight and can be more dry, therefore, the products used need to be as effective as modeling with the finger coils technique.
3C – The curls have a spiral shape, and are very defined giving a very important role for the products and tools to be used. Here you can not miss the pick lift wide tooth comb for the curly ones to give that WOW finishing
So, we will teach you two great techniques for you that just discovered your hair curl shape .The first technique we can work with is structured ribbon technique. This type of technique reduces frizz, shapes and defines curls.
1st Step: For best results, you will need to section the hair into three
2nd Step: Apply the Oil E Tanino Therapy or the Oless oil , section by section
3rd Step: Divide the hair parts into thinner parts
4th Step: Apply the Leave in O Tanino therapy or our Leave in Curl to each of the sections
5th Step: Stretch and scrunch the locks up to the root
6th Step: Finally, let the hair dry naturally.
Another technique, also widely used and the favored by many, is the FINGER COILS technique. This type of technique defines curls, reduces volume, frizz and length. It is worth saying that you will be able to use the technique on your entire hair, but if you prefer you can use it only on undefined strands, then come with us and know all your step by step. 1st Step: After washing your hair with Shampoo M Tanino therapy or with Shampoo curl and hydrating with a mask , apply leave-in on the damp hair. 2nd Step: In this case, you decide whether to divide the hair into thin or thick strands, because the thin ones will make the curls more voluminous, while the thicker ones will leave them with less volume. 3rd Step: Now with your fingers shape the curls, when you reach the root hold for 5 seconds and release. 4th Step: To finish let the hair dry naturally and finish with a pick comb if you prefer more volume.
COILY
4A – The strand form tightly closed curls, making them look almost like springs, so the washing process is essential for finishing
4B – The strand have the shape of a Z and are thin and dry, so a hydration pump is needed from the shampoo to finish with oils and leave-in
4C – The strands are dry and have difficulty absorbing oil and therefore have a frizzy and dry appearance, the fork comb is a great ally for this hair type
To perform the fit we will need the Leave-in which will act as a defining and reducing volume, but it is worth saying that before the fit process, the hair needed to be properly washed and hydrated with the product M and N of the same line. 1st Step: Divide the hair into 4 parts. 2nd Step: Apply the Leave-in O Tanino Therapy on each strand of hair until you feel that the hair has absorbed it. 3rd Step: Divide thinner strands with your fingers. 4th Step: Stretch and knead the strands to the root. 5th Step: Remove excess cream with a towel. 6th Step: After a few minutes apply the E Tannin Therapy oil by kneading larger strands. 7th Step: Wait for it to dry naturally, or use a diffuser for this process. (Finish with the pick comb)
